As a woman living in a contemporary world myself,  I thought it would be relevant to play with juxtaposing past and present in one oeuvre, portraying this in both visual and technical methods. This project consisting of seven staged female photography portraits is based around my established interest in mixing classical religious art in a modern interpretation. Number seven has a certain meaning in different cultural beliefs, whereas here it is rotating around 7 deadly sins. Our world today is going through a massive change and things do not stay the same, so I thought it would be relevant to change some of the sins into my modern version. And so happened with 'Anger' when I gave it another title - 'Bondage', meaning how vulnerable people are today, putting themselves into a governmental and social control. Here, I tried to comprehend ways of combining classical female figures with modern equipment, clothes and attributes. I am quite indecisive and bipolar in life so I assume this has an impact on art that I have been doing so far - its contradicting and always been a mixture of two opposites. Each of the so-called goddesses or saints proclaim their own character and have appropriate mimics, gestures and attributes. I was mainly aiming to combine a Renaissance-style composition and posture (they also bear nimbuses and some classical colour symbolism), using contemporary gadgets, printing, presentational and editing techniques.
